Declared fugitive in cases pertaining to assets beyond income means a five-member Supreme Court bench had ordered NAB to file one reference against Dar.

The petitions were Filed by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s Imran Khan, Jamaat-i-Islami’s Sirajul Haq and Awami Muslim League’s Sheikh Rashid Ahmed.

Over his perpetual absence from the corruption trial proceeding, the ex-minister was declared fugitive in the case pertaining to accumulating wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income. Efforts were underway to bring him back to Pakistan through Interpol.
