Did you buy the latest, greatest (and inexpensive) iPad? Protect it with these cases.

If you have an older iPad of any size, chances are when a new Apple iPad came out last year, you took notice. We sure did, naming the 9.7-inch model our Editors’ Choice over the older, and very similar, iPad Air 2.

Well now there’s a new kid on the block; earlier this month, Apple introduced its sixth-gen iPad, and it’s better than ever. This version is not just faster—it’s relatively cheap. The 32GB version slides into home starting at $329.99 ($299 for students), the kind of price it used to reserve for getting rid of old stock.

Also of note: the 2018 iPad supports the Apple Pencil, though you’ll have to shell out another $99 for that. We leave it up to you to decide if that’s enough reason to upgrade.

On the outside, the 2017 and 2018 iPads are identical, so any of the cases listed below should fit your Apple tablet. And you’ll probably want one; it’s all too easy to let one of these things slip from your hands.
