With that DirecTV Now subscription, you’ll have plenty to watch on your new Apple TV.
Want to upgrade to the latest 4K-capable Apple TV? For a limited time, DirecTV Now is offering up a free Apple TV 4K when you agree to prepay for three months of the streaming service for as low as $35 per month.
Normally priced at $179, the Apple TV 4K is an impressive little device. It includes 32GB of internal storage, runs on Apple’s own A10X Fusion chip, supports 802.11b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and gigabit ethernet. It can also output at up to 2160p with HDR10 over the built-in HDMI 2.0a port.
Perhaps just as nifty as the set-top box itself, the included Siri remote is quite a step up from remotes of the past. The dual-microphones allow you to search with your voice, while the accelerometer, gyroscope, and touchpad make interacting with games and apps a breeze.
And of course, having a subscription to DirecTV Now gives you something to watch on your shiny new Apple TV right away. You won’t get 4K content with this subscription, but you will have access to dozens of live channels, on-demand content, and the ability to upgrade to premium channels like HBO or Showtime.
The cheapest package is just $35 per month, and that gives you more than 60 channels. The $50 package bumps your channel selection to more than 80, the $60 “Go Big” bundle offers more than 100, and the top-end $70 “Gotta Have It” plan has 120.
Note: Terms and conditions apply. Renews until canceled. See the DirecTV Now site for more information.
