Microsoft just announced the list of games Xbox Live Gold members will receive for free in March.
On Xbox One, the single-player title Trials of the Blood Dragon, which combines the physics-based gameplay of Trials with the action of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, will be free for Live Gold members to download all month. The game includes 30 missions across seven worlds and would normally set you back $14.99.
“There’s running, shooting, swinging, tanks, jetpacks, and BMXs to play with,” Xbox Wire Editor Mike Nelson wrote. “Fully animated cut-scenes provide the humor and weapons deliver the boom.”
If that doesn’t excite you, this should: The award-winning first-person shooter Superhot, normally priced at $24.99, will be free for Live Gold members to download from March 16 through April 15. The PC version received an “excellent” rating in PCMag’s review, plus our coveted Editors’ Choice award, for its “unusual, hypnotic gameplay.”
As usual, March’s Games with Gold lineup also includes two Xbox 360 titles, both of which will also work on the Xbox One thanks to the console’s backward-compatibility feature.
Brave: The Video Game, an action-adventure title based on the Disney-Pixar film, will be free for members to download from March 1 to March 15, saving you $19.99. Then, from March 16 through the end of the month, members will be able to download the puzzle-platformer Quantum Conundrum, which is normally priced at $9.99, for free.
Games with Gold first launched in the summer of 2013, offering free games every month to those with an Xbox Live Gold subscription, which costs $10 a month or $60 annually. Besides the free games, a subscription gets you multiplayer capabilities and some exclusive discounts in the Xbox Store.
Members can still pick up some games from this month’s Game with Gold lineup, including the first-person shooter Shadow Warrior, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India, and the open world racing game Crazy Taxi.
